The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is a popular test held by the Indian Air Force (IAF) to choose qualified applicants for the Flying Branch, the Ground Duty (Technical) Branch, and the Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch. Registration
- Visit the AFCAT official webpage at afcat.cdac.in.
- Click on the Apply Now button, locate and click on the ‘Candidate’s Login’ button.
- By clicking on ‘New Candidate,’ you can register as a new user.
- Enter your personal information as well as a valid email address.
- The username and password are then forwarded to this email address.
Personal Information
- Log in with your registered email address and password and choose the kind of entry: AFCAT, NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch, or others.
- After carefully reading the instructions, click the continue button.
- Click on ‘Application Form Filling’ and enter the information as asked.
- These details include the complete name of the applicant, name of the parents, date of birth, gender, and Aadhar number.
Educational and Communication Details
Enter educational details such as qualification and percentage obtained. Also, add course preference.
Provide communication details such as phone number, correspondence address, and permanent address.
Upload Documents
- Next, upload scanned copies of all the related documents as asked. These include scanned signatures, photographs, and thumb impressions.
- Each scanned file should be sized between 10 kB to 50 kB.
- The name of the file with the scanned copy should match the document uploaded. For example, the applicant should name the file with a signed copy, signature.jpeg.
- Applicants must ensure that valid and clear copies are uploaded. Providing incorrect or blur documents leads to rejection of the application.
Exam City
- In the next step, applicants are asked to select their preferred exam centre city.
- The city is selected through the offered list in the drop-down menu.
Payment
- After completing the form and entering all the information, the applicants must check the entered details.
- After reviewing their application, the candidate should pay exam fees.

Time Required To Complete AFCAT Syllabus
