Commercial Window Shield: Three different types of window film installation

WASHINGTON – Continuing a long-standing and fruitful relationship, DAVIS Construction has hired Commercial Window Shield for a two-part project at a hospital in the nation’s capital.

The project, at the Bunny Mellon Healing Garden at the Children’s National Hospital, involves Commercial Window Shield removing aged solar reflective film from a garden building and installing a gradient privacy/decorative film on interior office fronts and conference room glass.

DAVIS is doing a complete renovation of the healing garden building. The solar reflective window film removal and decorative film installation is part of the overall renovation project. As always, Commercial Window Shield will work closely with other contractors in scheduling its window film work.

The project is expected to begin in early 2023.

DAVIS recently hired Commercial Window Shield for a project involving three different types of window film installation at the Raytheon Fortress Building in Sterling, Va.

Commercial Window Shield and DAVIS have collaborated on a number of other window film installation projects over the years.  In July the company installed standard decorative film, also known as privacy film, on three floors at 2200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW for DAVIS client Danahar.

In July, 2021, DAVIS hired Commercial Window Shield to install three types of window film at a complete building renovation at 1275 New Jersey Ave. SE., new corporate headquarters for Chemonics. Previously, DAVIS hired Commercial Window Film to install decorative window film at PBS headquarters in Arlington, Va. and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention building in Washington.

The company also completed a multiple window film project for DAVIS at the historic Warner building, also in Washington.

Its clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
